I had originally bought a mattress protector for the guest room (a young one was visiting and "accidents" do happen). I chose this brand for mostly for all the positive reviews it receives. The product has yet to dissappoint me - in fact - I purchased Luna Mattress and Pillow Case protectors for every mattress and pillow in my home. They wash well, are not "rubbery", and most importantly you (or your guests) will not know the protector is there. Your $$$ are well spent with this product!
My wife and I recently purchased 2 new memory foam mattresses and wanted to purchase an allergy pillow and mattress protectors that were waterproof. There are several on the market, but we chose to go with Luna based on the positive reviews we had seen. We were not disappointed when the protectors arrived.
