This pad does an excellent job of keeping my 5-year-old's mattress dry when she wets the bed. After a couple of weeks, I bought a second one for middle-of-the-night bed changes. I have opted to ignore the care instructions and to wash these only in cold water and then to line dry them. I figure that heat can't be good for them, no matter what the manufacturer says. Notwithstanding my gentler approach to keeping them clean, however, the part that wraps around the mattress edge to hold it in place started to come apart at the seams on one of these pads. So I'd say that the waterproof layer performs as advertised but the construction of the pads--the sewing--is mediocre and they may not end up lasting as long as I would have expected.
I bought this for my son after a friend of mine recommended. I felt like I had to try it, since I would do anything to protect my little prince.
It offers a more sterile and waterproof environment for your baby and I think is totally worth it.
The shipping is super fast too, I bought in one day and then a couple of hours later they sent me an email saying my order was shipped.
